Dr. Elaine W. Leigh is a Postdoctoral Fellow with Strada Education Network’s research team contributing to current research projects and strategic initiatives. She recently completed her Ph.D. in Higher Education at University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education where her research examines policies and practices that address inequities in postsecondary access and completion for historically underserved students. Recent areas of inquiry include how cross-sector education collaborations address barriers and advance systems change for postsecondary attainment and the design, implementation, and equity impacts of “free college” policies. Elaine also brings 13 years of experience in education and developing programming for youth from underserved and minoritized backgrounds, including as a former middle school science teacher, college access nonprofit manager, and board member for human services and education nonprofits in Philadelphia.
