Carrie Samson is the Senior Manager for Policy and Engagement at Strada Center for Education Consumer Insights, where she contributes to a wide portfolio of policy and communications initiatives on behalf of the center. She also leads project management and development efforts for Public Viewpoint, a timely survey of the impact of COVID-19 on the lives, work, and education of the American public.

Before joining Strada in 2020, Carrie led communications at Credential Engine, where she managed the organization’s brand, cultivated media relationships, and served as the primary press officer and content writer. Carrie’s education and workforce background includes experience working with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Center for Education and Workforce where she contributed to the Talent Pipeline Management program–a national initiative dedicated to developing demand-driven solutions to the growing national skills gap. Previously, she managed contract logistics at the Public Broadcasting Service, served on the government affairs team at the Solar Energy Industries Association, and led grassroots efforts at the Council for Exceptional Children.

Carrie holds a Bachelor of Arts from American University in the interdisciplinary studies of Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government. She also has a Masters of Public Policy from George Mason University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
