Summer Casillas joined Strada in 2017 as director for Strada Center for Education Consumer Insights.

Previously, Casillas spent two years at the U.S. Department of Education as the Confidential Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Postsecondary Education, the Chief Financial Officer, and the Assistant Secretary of Legislation and Congressional Affairs. She completed a legal clerkship through the Attorney General’s Honors Program at the U.S. Department of Justice and was then a founding partner of a private practice law firm.

Casillas holds a law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.
